OVERVIEW

Clerical Plus, Ltd. was started in 1996 by owner, M. Colleen Wietmarschen. Colleen has over 25 years of experience in transcription work, including extensive knowledge in medical terminology, pharmacology, legal terminology, and corporate focus groups. Clerical Plus, Ltd. is a multispecialty medical transcription company providing accurate documentation for patient records in all fields of medical practice.

Clerical Plus, Ltd. continues to serve clients nationwide. State-of-the-art technology allows us to service clients anywhere in the U.S. or internationally.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Colleen is co-founder of Midwest Business Services Network (MBSN). MBSN is a networking group of small business owners who offer virtual and traditional business support to companies around the world. Members meet once a month to share knowledge, to provide support for successes and challenges encountered, and to refer business to other service owners in the network.
Colleen is also a member of the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI). Membership of AHDI provides continuing education in the skills needed for today’s market. HIPPA guidelines are strictly adhered to for security/confidentiality of all patient records. We strictly adhere to the AHDI Code of Ethics.

INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP

Colleen mentored in conjunction with AHDI coaching newly trained medical transcriptionists on skills and education needed to obtain MT positions in hospitals or other companies and/or providing information for MTs interested in starting their own medical transcription company.
Colleen volunteered on the Advisory Board of Southwestern College for the Medical Transcription/Office Administrative Assistant Program. Duties include consultation on program curriculum as it pertains to skills needed for medical offices, including medical transcription.
Colleen has served Great Oaks Career Campus as a Medical Transcription Instructor.
